To my sister, Amanda, for graduating from Highline Community College!
I hate graduations. I hate them so much I've considered not going to my own. Although I hate them I know I will still go to my own. The speeches are long, my seats are always far away, its crowded, and I can never get my self to really pay attention.
I will say, I like the feeling I get at the beginning when the grads are walking to their seats. Loud music plays. Students waving to their loved ones. Faces full of excitement and joy. I get this overwhelming feeling of " this is the most important day of their life, they're on to bigger and better things". The feeling slowly dies off once the speeches start.
I arrived at the ShoWare Center in Kent, WA at 7 p.m. and found seats with my family and friends. I'm not sure what time it ended, all I remember was arriving home at 10. And that there was a ton of great fatty foods awaiting at my house. Yum.
We had pizza, cookies, cakes, drinks, and some other things. Hey don't call me fat. I know I am. But don't deny that you've never been to a party like this either! I bet it was probably one of the best ones you've been to!
I'm tired. I should have written earlier. Oh, well.
Goodnight.. errr... me?
